Visakhapatnam: G Lakshmisha inspects work at parks across the city
G Lakshmisha, the Municipal Commissioner, toured across the city inspecting the work that was being done in the parks. Dr Lakshmisha visited Seethammadhara, Kirlampudi Layout, Lalita Nagar, and other wards such as 14, 21, and 31. The commissioner went through Sloppy Park, Snipper Park, and Butterfly Park, as well. He expressed dissatisfaction with the progress achieved at Sloppy Park, claiming that it was not adequately maintained and that debris needed to be swept at regular intervals. With the help of the AD, Horticulture, he believes that further beautifying work should be undertaken. Later, the Municipal Commissioner examined the Rs 8 crore smart city office being built in the 21st ward. He instructed the engineers to expedite the construction, including power, flooring, and greenery. The NGO representatives in Lalita Nagar informed that the park in the region needs greater attention and that should be improved with wall painting, power, and a security personnel facility. Among those accompanying Dr Lakshmisha was chief medical officer KSLG Sastry and AD Horticulture M Damodara Rao.
