States Dispose 57,000 Grievances via CPGRAMS in April

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) has released the 33rd monthly report on the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) for States and Union Territories (UTs), covering the month of April 2025. The report presents a comprehensive analysis of the types of grievances submitted, their resolution, and user participation across the country.

In April 2025, 57,021 grievances were redressed by State and UT governments. However, pending grievances stood at 208,103, highlighting the need for further streamlining and timely resolution mechanisms.

The platform also saw a rise in public engagement, with 62,227 new users registering during the month. The highest number of new users came from Uttar Pradesh with 9,327 registrations.

As part of its digital outreach, CPGRAMS has been integrated with over 500,000 Common Service Centres (CSCs), supported by 250,000 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs). In April, 5,004 grievances were filed through CSCs, addressing key local concerns.

State-Wise Grievance Redressal:

7. Uttar Pradesh received the highest number of grievances at 25,863, followed by Gujarat.

8. Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat also topped grievance disposal with 22,834 and 3,624 cases respectively.

9. 16 States/UTs redressed more than 1,000 grievances, but 23 States/UTs still have over 1,000 pending grievances each as of 30 April 2025.

Training Under Sevottam Scheme:

The report also details progress under the Sevottam Scheme for 2024�25. Across the last three financial years, 822 training programmes have been conducted, covering approximately 27,230 government officers, to improve service delivery and grievance redress mechanisms.

13. Decrease in monthly disposal: From 59,523 in March to 57,021 in April

The DARPG reiterated its commitment to effective grievance redressal through CPGRAMS and called for enhanced efforts by States and UTs to clear the backlog and maintain citizen trust in public service delivery.
