Himachal Pradesh opens tender for 1,700 off-grid solar systems

The Himachal Pradesh Energy Development Agency (HIMURJA) has invited tenders for supplying, installing, and commissioning 1,700 off-grid solar systems of 250 W capacity each, in premises for every household in the tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh.
The scope of work includes verification of site feasibility, inspection, design, engineering, manufacture, shop testing, transportation, loading and unloading, storage, erection, performance testing, installation, commissioning, and handing over the solar system to the inheritor.
The estimated cost of this project is Rs 65 million, and the project should be completed within six months from the date of the letter issued.
The deadline to submit the bids is June 6 and the bids will be opened on June 7.
Bidders interested in the project will have to deposit an amount of Rs 1.3 million earnest money deposit (EMD).
To participate in the bidding, the bidder is required to be a solar integrator or manufacturer of solar systems with experience in the installation and commissioning of a minimum of 100 kW off-grid solar power projects for other companies and government sectors.
The average turnover of the bidder should be a minimum of Rs 10 million for the past three financial years.
The affluent bidder will have to deposit the bid security deposit within one month from the date of the issued award letter. The cost will be equal to 10% of the contract value.
The elements of the solar system include solar modules, battery, and power conditioning units, to be supplied to the project should be conformed to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy specifications issued timely.
Currently, HIMURJA has invited bids for the supply and installation of 20,000 solar street lights for several villages, gram panchayats, and other companies within the states on the overall cost inclusive of the installation.
Previously, HIMURJA had floated a bid for 10,000 solar lanterns in the state. The work under this project was to supply the solar lanterns and distribute them to the inheritors within the province.
