Dhule to have solar power plant

A 150 MW solar power plant will be set up in Dhule district in Maharashtra with financial assistance of around �250 mn from KFW, a German investment bank. The project claims to be one of the biggest in the country.

The total cost of the project is Rs 1,800 crore, of which about Rs 1,700 crore is being financed by KFW, and the state government will pump in the rest of the amount. The project is expected to start generation by the end of 2012.
