IPMA International Project Excellence award for Vindhyachal power plant

Power generator NTPC's Vindhyachal power plant in Madhya Pradesh, also the country's largest electricity generation station, has bagged the IPMA International Project Excellence's Silver Award for the year 2016 for project management. A unit of the 4,760 MW project was commissioned ahead of schedule - it was synchronised on August 6 last year and achieved full load the same day within 26 months from the date of construction.
