GIPCL floats tender for 75 MW grid-connected solar plant in Surat

Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has floated tender for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, erection, testing, and launch of 75 MW of grid-connected solar power plant near its Surat Lignite Power Plant in the Surat district of Gujarat.
The successful bidder will additionally have to take care of the project鈥檚 operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for three years. The last date to present the proposals online is February 11, 2022. Proposals will be opened on the same day. The successful bidder will have to provide an amount of 10% of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) cost as the performance bank guarantee within two weeks from the issuance of the letter of intent (LoI).
To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have experience in the design, supply, installation, and launch of solar power plants of a cumulative capacity of 75 MW or more in India on or after January 1, 2015, as on the proposal submission date.
Out of the 75 MW capacity, there must be at least one solar power plant of 60 MW or two separate projects of cumulative capacity of 60 MW. The bidder should additionally present proof of achievement of performance generation guarantee and performance of at least one solar power plant of 30 MW or above, which should have been certified by the developer of that particular solar project.
Additionally, the bidder should have experience of implementing transmission system projects having connectivity up to the state transmission utility or central transmission utility grid at 66 kV voltage level or above, other than in a solar park, either as a part of the solar EPC project or as a separate transmission project.
The cumulative revenue of the bidder during the past three financial years must be Rs 3.5 billion. The bidder鈥檚 net worth during the last financial year must be positive.
