Hild Electric bags NTPC order for alkaline electrolysers

Hild Electric, which manufactures and deploys electrolysers, announced it has been selected as the alkaline electrolyser technology provider of NTPC Renewable Energy (REL), the renewable energy subsidiary of NTPC, the country's largest power utility with 73 GW installed generation capacity.

The Chennai-based company said in a statement it would deploy stacks combined with purifiers and separators to provide a dynamic and efficient solution that can integrate with renewable energy resources and produce green hydrogen.

Under the agreement, the solution will be deployed for up to 600 MW capacities across a diverse range of industrial applications, including ammonia, transportation, power etc. These are expected to support NTPC鈥檚 green hydrogen ambition of reaching at least 150 kTPA of Green Hydrogen production by 2032.
