Jaipur Railway Division Invites Bids for 2.68 MW Rooftop Solar Projects

The Jajpur division of the North Western Railway has issued two tenders for the installation of 2.68 MW grid-connected rooftop solar projects across both station and non-station buildings, as well as platform shelters within the division.

The initial tender, accounting for a 1.36 MW project, involves the implementation of solar power systems for railway stations, covering both the station building and platform shelters. The second tender, dedicated to a 1.32 MW project, focuses on non-railway station buildings within the Jaipur division.

The deadline for bid submissions is January 8, 2024, with bids being opened on the same day. Successful bidders will be granted six months to complete each project.

Bidders are required to showcase a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is lower, where V denotes the advertised value of the tender in rupees, and N represents the number of years specified for completing the work solicited in the bids. The average annual contractual turnover is determined as the mean of "total contractual payments" over the preceding three financial years. Additionally, bidders must possess a valid electrical contractor license issued by the government, which must be submitted along with the tender document. However, the original equipment manufacturer or its authorized dealer is exempt from this licensing requirement.

For this tender, work of a similar nature is defined as the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a solar power project with or without battery backup.
