JSW Neo Energy wins 500MW solar project from SECI

JSW Energy announced that its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy, has secured a contract from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to develop a 500 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar project, along with 250 MW/500 MWh of energy storage systems. JSW Neo Energy has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for establishing the solar power project and energy storage systems in response to a tariff-based competitive bid for setting up 1,200 MW ISTS-connected solar power projects and 600 MW/1,200 MWh energy storage systems (Tranche XV), as stated by the company.

In another statement, the company reported that JSW Neo Energy has received a LoA from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development (KREDL) for developing a 300 MW solar project at Pavagada Solar Park in Karnataka. With this new capacity award, JSW Neo Energy?s total locked-in generation capacity has increased to 16 GW, and its total locked-in energy storage capacity has risen to 4.2 GWh. The company aims to achieve an installed generation capacity of 10 GW by FY25, up from the current 7.5 GW.
