Pralhad meets German, Danish officials; focuses on clear energy space

As part of the ongoing 4th Global RE-Invest 2024 in Gujarat, Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy, met with the officials of Germany and Denmark to strengthen collaboration in the renewable energy sector.
Addressing at the Launch of India-Germany Platform for Investments in Renewable Energy Globally, the minister said, 鈥淕ermany has been our trusted partner in India鈥檚 renewable energy journey鈥� I am sure that Indo-Germany collaboration will expand manifolds in coming years.鈥�
As part of Denmark's participation at the event being held in Gujarat鈥檚 Gandhinagar, Morten Bodskov, Denmark's Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs held a bilateral meeting with Pralhad Joshi to scale up collaboration between both the nations in the renewable energy sector.
鈥淗eld a bilateral meeting with Morten Bodskov, Denmark's Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs on the sidelines of REInvest 2024. Thanked Denmark for agreeing to partner with India in organising the 4th Global Re-Invest. Together we resolved to scale up collaboration between both the nations in the renewable energy sector,鈥� said Joshi in his tweet. 鈥淭ogether we have made significant progress under the green strategic partnership particularly in offshore wind development. This includes working together on the feasibility of setting up an offshore wind test research centre exploring the offshore wind in Gujarat, inputs into the offshore bidding strategy, and various capacity building initiatives,鈥� he said.
The renewable energy minister said that India and Denmark were also in discussion on the collaboration for setting up a Centre of Excellence for green hydrogen.
鈥淚ndia looks up to Danish companies that have been leaders in the global market for key areas crucial for the successful green transformation. India brings scale while Denmark offers specialised skills,鈥� he said. He tweeted that the Partner Country Session of REInvest 2024 with Denmark was a 鈥榮uccess鈥�. While addressing it, he spoke about how India looks forward to leveraging Denmark's expertise and experience in the renewable sector.
