Rajasthan Electronics invites bids for 6,000 polycrystalline solar modules

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments (REIL), a joint venture of the Central and Rajasthan governments, has requested bids for the procurement of 6,000 solar modules with a wattage output of at least 335 W and constructed of 72 polycrystalline silicon solar cells.

This tender will only purchase solar modules manufactured by Sova Solar, Navitas, Gautam Solar, Goldi Green, Credence, RenewSys, Waaree, and Topsun. The deadline for submitting proposals online is February 20, 2023. Bids will be opened the next day.

Breakage, cracks, air bubbles, cells overlapping one another or touching the edge frame, scratches on the frame or glass, excessive or uneven glue marks on the glass or frame, and inconsistent cell colours must be avoided.

Original Indian solar module manufacturers, or their authorised dealers or distributors, must be the providers. The vendor should have a minimum of 10 MW of solar module automated in-house manufacturing capacity per year. In addition, the vendor should have manufactured and supplied a total capacity of 1 MW solar modules in the previous three years.

Furthermore, bidders must have supplied a minimum of 2,000 solar modules in the previous three fiscal years. The minimum average annual turnover of bidders should be Rs 20 million during the last three financial years.

Bidders' net worth should have increased over the previous fiscal year. All consignments from the product manufacturer must be accompanied by a test report and a quality certificate demonstrating compliance with the required specification. Solar modules must be warranted for their output peak watt capacity, which must be greater than 90% after ten years and less than 80% after 25 years.
