In a significant move to enhance India's renewable energy capabilities, Replus Engitech has partnered with Hero Future Energies to sign a comprehensive Turnkey EPC Contract for developing a 250MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This strategic alliance is intended to improve the stability and reliability of renewable energy sources across Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Gujarat.
Over the next 18 months, Replus will implement advanced BESS solutions to integrate seamlessly with existing solar and wind energy installations in these states, in line with specific tender requirements. This integration is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency and sustainability of renewable energy operations.
Hiren Pravin Shah, the Executive Director and CEO of Replus, expressed his honor in collaborating with a visionary company like Hero Future Energies. He described the partnership as a major milestone for Replus and an important factor in the company's growth objectives, aiming to achieve a tenfold increase in the next two years. Shah highlighted that this milestone is crucial for accelerating the company's expansion plans across various regions.
Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman of Replus and Bhilwara Energy Limited, also remarked on the partnership, noting that the alliance with Hero Future Energies is a crucial step in advancing sustainable energy solutions on a large scale. Jhunjhunwala emphasized Replus's commitment to supporting Hero Future Energies? vision and contributing to India's renewable energy goals, aiming to set new standards in efficiency and reliability, and driving positive change in the energy sector.
Replus Engitech Private Limited brings substantial experience to this project, having already installed 28MWh of Battery Energy Storage Projects both in India and internationally. These projects have not only promoted green energy consumption but also offered efficient alternatives to traditional diesel generators. Additionally, the company is currently working on two BESS Microgrid projects, each with a capacity of 18MWh, in Saudi Arabia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, further showcasing its expertise in managing complex energy storage solutions.
