Kerala hands over Rs.3,460 mn for industrial corridor

The Kerala Government has handed over Rs.3,460 mn to acquire land for the proposed manufacturing hub at Palakkad, which is part of the Kochi-Bengaluru industrial corridor. With this, the land acquisition proceedings will speed up. The funds were handed over to KINFRA, which is the nodal agency of the state government for the project through the Kerala infrastructure Investment Fund Board. The amount will be utilised for the acquisition of 292 acre of land at Kannambra in Palakkad. A total of 470 acre are needed for the first phase of the project.
