The state capital, Itanagar, is only 15 km away from the greenfield Hollongi Airport. The Lilabari Airport in Assam's North Lakhimpur district is currently the closest airport to the state. The closest international airport to Itanagar is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati, Assam. 200 passengers can be accommodated at peak times.
