The satellite survey for construction of the much-awaited 150-km Yingkiong-Bishing national highway in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh has been completed. Officials of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation will now move to fast-track the project. Residents of 10 villages had last year decided not to claim compensation for their land for construction of the road in order to fast track connectivity via the two-lane highway.
