Terex cranes for Chinese projects

China-based Penglai Jutal Offshore Engineering Heavy Industries Co Ltd utilised a pair of Terex crawler cranes to lift a 330 tonne ring gear onto a freighter on behalf of Cosco shipyard. These included the CC 6800 and CC 2500-1 models. The CC 6800 was set up with an SSL configuration, a 90 m main boom, 40.5 m superlift mast, working radius of 24 m, superstructure counterweight of 250 tonne, and a central ballast of 80 tonne. The CC 2500-1 was also set up in SSL configuration but with 72 m main boom, 30 m superlift mast, superstructure counterweight of 160 tonne, central ballast of 40 tonne, and working radius of 15 m. To pick up the load safely and maintain stability, the two crawler cranes worked with spreader beams. The load was lifted about 4 m moving towards the cargo ship.
