Second time at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA
Pinaki Niyogy, Vice President-Manufacturing & Engineering, TIL, shares the company鈥檚 expectations from and offerings at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016鈥
How is the current market scenario influencing your offering at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA this year? Any new launches planned?
The current market scenario is encouraging. With substantial investments planned by the government in the sectors of roads and highways, power, ports and railways, new opportunities are going to open up for the construction equipment industry. TIL is a leading provider of road construction and material handling solutions in India, representing global technology leaders.
Along with our co-exhibitor ASTEC Industries, we plan to focus on the ASTEC-TIL product range this year at the expo. On display at our booth 鈥 H2.L42 鈥 will be a model of the ASTEC Voyager 120 鈥 a highly compact and portable hot-mix asphalt plant 鈥 unique in its class for its ability to run up to 30 per cent RAP, backed by TIL鈥檚 unmatched service support. The ASTEC Voyager 120 is built around a counter-flow drum featuring ASTEC v-flights, which provide greater uniformity of the aggregate veil during the drying process, resulting in better heat transfer, reduced fuel usage and increased productivity.
We will also be promoting the new range of truck cranes from TIL at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016. We have recently introduced the TMS 855, the ruck crane in the 55 tonne category, and the TM 825 in the 25 tonne category, with the longest boom in its class. This is the first time a 鈥榝ormed鈥 boom is being manufactured in India.
Our product specialists at the booth will also take the visitors through the newly launched range of longer boom truck cranes, crushing and screening solutions, as well as the complete portfolio of our products and services.
Any specific investments made by the company towards product launches, up-gradation, etc?
At TIL, we always believe in continuous improvement. We are adding many enhanced features to our truck cranes. Enhancements include longer booms for maximum reach and optimum lifting performance, GPS, cameras and vastly superior safety features, to name a few. To increase equipment uptime for our customers, we have bolstered our pan-India network of skilled and dedicated after-sales service engineers, located in close proximity to customer sites for faster response times and better problem resolution.
In terms of generating business, what are your expectations from the event this year?
BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA is one of the largest trade fairs in India, dedicated to the construction equipment industry. This year at the expo, we have ASTEC Industries as our co-exhibitor. Together, we plan to leverage BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016 as an ideal platform to showcase the ASTEC-TIL product range and the new range of truck cranes from TIL, which are loaded with many advanced and superior features. This will also be a fantastic opportunity for our product and service experts to engage in close interactions with visitors 鈥 our existing as well as potential customers, suppliers and business associates. Going forward, we are confident that the leads generated during the show will translate into positive business opportunities for the company.
