Bobcat launches L65 and L85 compact wheel loaders

The new L65 and L85 compact wheel loaders have been created to give owners and workers a multi-tool solution to assist in achieving a variety of projects.

Kelly Humble, senior marketing manager, product planning at Doosan Bobcat North America told the media that compact wheel loaders are a necessary machine on many diverse job sites and are notably nimble in tight spaces where power shouldn鈥檛 be cut for manoeuvrability.

Their new compact wheel loaders provide owners with the performance they require to power through difficult tasks, the nimbleness they require to operate around barriers and the premium comfort they deserve to stay energised throughout the day.

As per Bobcat, the heavy lifting capacities and high lift height of the L65 and L85 compact wheel loaders enable them to excel at lift-and-carry tasks in congested work zones and other challenging environments.

With standard bucket capacities of up to 1-cubic yard, they can make fast work of tough material managing in construction, landscaping, agriculture and other enterprises.

The L65 and L85 readily mix with a variety of Bobcat attachments, increasing the potential uses of the machine.

For example, the power Bob-Tach System lets operators share select attachments across their Bobcat fleet, providing more versatility and, potentially, profitability. Additionally, the operator can optimise the performance of the attachment, related to that task with attachment control mode.

This feature allows control of the engine and travel speeds individually, optimising auxiliary hydraulic performance.

The L65 and L85 come provided with a recently redesigned Tier 4 Bobcat engine. As per Bobcat, a variety of features make maintenance and service more convenient, comprising a huge fuel filter to provide better system protection, longer filter life and improved holding capacity, lift pump and self-priming fuel system, which allows constant forced air outflow and eradicates the need for a primer bulb, pre-filter to preserve the lift pump from debris and particles that boost wear and degrade the performance.

Bobcat alleges that articulated steering gives a high manoeuvrability and a tight turning radius, making it easy to navigate job sites.

An electronic hydrostatic transmission (E-HST) makes direction changes fast and efficient, improving acceleration and adjusting speed control.

A powerful combination of the E-HST transmission and horsepower management automatically modifies the drive systems to maximise pushing and loading power while minimising the chance of delay.

Concerning bucket breakout force, Bobcat鈥檚 z-bar linkage design renders power while keeping loads parallel with the ground. Eventually, this leads to minimal spillage. Also, the L65 and L85 both highlight an automatic parking brake with slope assist and a brake pedal with inching control.
