The compact footprint of the Cat M319 takes one into and out of confined workspaces, whether it be utility work, general excavation or trenching. With its minimum, 6 feet (ft) 3 inch (in) tail swing, one can dig, swing and dump with limited side overhang making it feasible to work up against buildings, built constructions, other machines or barriers. And when rushing over to the next job, one can drive this machine at speeds up to 21.7 miles per hour. The 46,407-pound M319 operates on a Cat C4.4 diesel engine putting out 171 net horsepower. It digs down to 18 ft 10 in and stretches up to 30 ft 3 in. The maximum loading height is 25 ft 7 in. Auxiliary hydraulic options with high- and medium-pressure circuits and one and two-way pressure-flow enable one to tailor the machine configuration to an extensive range of attachments. With its longer wheelbase, the Cat M320 improves working stability, enhances machine ride when roading, and provides up to 9% more swing torque than its predecessor, the Cat M320F. A Cat C4.4 diesel engine with 129.4 horsepower gives the punch as this 46,740 lb machine digs to a depth of 19 ft 9 in. Maximum reach is about 30 ft 6 in, and loading height is 22 ft 10 in. On-demand electric cooling fans save fuel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) to reduce operating expenses. And it can work on B20 biodiesel. A dedicated swing pump gives constant power. The advanced hydraulic system automatically balances power and efficiency to provide operators with more machine control for specific working requirements. When the job asks for it, a heavy lift mode increases lifting capacities. The M320 also decreases service time with centralized grease points and an automatic lubrication system option for the implement and swing system. On both the machines, one will find an updated cab on with a new 10-inch touchscreen monitor and intuitive machine controls. One can program joystick configurations and power preferences and remember operator-specific settings based on a unique operator ID. A tilt-up console makes cab entry and exit simpler and viscous mounts decrease vibration feedback in the cab, keeping one more comfortable and focused during all-day work sessions. As for maintenance, fluid sampling ports and daily maintenance points can all be obtained from ground level to simplify these tasks.
