Dilip Buildcon Limited bags Rs 2,683.02 cr equipment order from SECL

Road construction company Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has received a letter of award for an order of Rs 2,683 crore from South Eastern Coalfield Limited (SECL).

DBL has obtained an LoA for OB removal Contract Mining work for Jamuna Kotma Area, Amadand OCP, Tehsil-Kotma-Annupur in Madhya Pradesh worth Rs 2,683 crore.

As per the DBL, the order is for the hiring of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) and allied equipment for Over Burden (OB) removal; dumping, doing, scrapping/ removal of all bands; loading into tippers, transportation and unloading of excavated materials and silt; preparation or maintenance of haul road, water sprinkling and spreading excavated materials at the site shown and levelling dumps according to the order of the management or engineers in control.

The agreement has been inked for 1,795 days at Amadand OCP, Jamuna Kotma Area.

On December 7, the firm had told the media that it emerged as the lowest bidder for the bids invited by SECL.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had earlier arrested three senior authorities of DBL along with an officer of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for being involved in an alleged corruption case.

CBI authorities had recovered Rs 4 crore in cash after conducting raids on premises connected to the accused.
