Kobelco Construction Equipment India (KCEI), a subsidiary of Japan-based Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., has reached a significant production milestone by rolling out its 20,000th excavator at its manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. This facility serves both domestic and international markets, reinforcing India鈥檚 role as a key production center for Kobelco.

KCEI is also setting up a new R&D facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing technology development and product innovation. This facility will focus on advanced engineering solutions, customization for varied market requirements, and further strengthening India鈥檚 position as a key manufacturing and innovation hub for Kobelco.
KCEI manufactures a wide range of excavators in India, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 units. The company supplies excavators to domestic customers, exports to more than 16 countries and continues to maintain high-end leadership with over 25% market share.
