The Liebherr鈥檚 new compact 36 XXT truck-mounted concrete pump delivers an attractive look and easy site manoeuvrability in one package. The 36 XXT, mounted on a three-axle chassis, travels with a total weight of about 28 tons, relying on equipment. No boom overhang at the rear improves its manoeuvrability near construction areas and on roads. The machine has a five-piece distributor boom with an unfolding 23.6 feet height. The design and kinematics of the boom provide low vibration and even work when putting concrete. Good slip properties enable concreting in existing buildings on various floors. The charging hopper shape favours a uniform flow of concrete and good suction behaviour. Two individually driven agitators push the concrete straight into the suction space, which operates even with concrete types that are challenging to pump. According to Liebherr, the XXT outrigger offers some benefits over other supports. Boom loads are transmitted along the shortest path to the contact spaces of the support legs, which swivel about the same rotation axis. The narrow support functions present multiple setup options. For narrow spaces, the front outrigger on the confined side can still be expanded and supported up to the front of the operator鈥檚 cab, thanks to the swivel alternative, adding the whole working area in front of the cab. If both sides are narrowed, it is still feasible to work over the cab. The XXT stability control system provides safe working circumstances, only permitting noncritical movements. The safe working zone is shown on the radio remote control, which permits sensitive boom movements and reveals to the operator all important parameters. The 36 XXT also has a Powerbloc pump drive unit. With it, all hydraulic switching and measuring components are integrated, which the firm says eradicates numerous hydraulic hoses along with other parts.
