New split roller bearing by Bowman International

Bearings supplier and bespoke bearing manufacturer Bowman International Ltd has released a new bearing product, Bowman Advanced Split Roller Bearing that is ideal to be used as screw conveyors.

The new split roller bearing has raised its capacity up to 75% for radial load and up to 1000% in axial load in both directions.

Technical Director of Bowman, Ian Breeze told the media that their latest product consists of two independent 3D-printed axial bearings that help contain greater loads, enhancing system performance with less maintenance and reduced machine failure.

In contrast to other high-level split bearings, the Bowman Advanced Split Roller Bearing increases L10 life by up to 500%.

Another excellent property of this split bearing is the trademarked triple labyrinth extended seal that provides a much tighter seal than any other bearings while also reducing the need for -- removal, assembling or replacement of old shafts.

Due to this, engineers can now simply fit an extended seal onto the damage-free section of the shaft without compromising its performance and it is time-efficient.

The high thrust capacity and radial load capacity spit rollers can thus replace solid spherical roller bearings in rotating machinery.

Apart from the notable increase in load capacities, Bowman Advanced Split Roller Bearing also puts forward numerous advanced benefits like more substantial diameter screw sizes, increased capabilities for -- clamp rings, cartridges and pedestals, and roller pockets with cavities to hold the grease against the rollers.

It also provides a bunch of other additional IoT specific functionalities available and adaptations can be accommodated within fast lead times.

Breeze concluded by saying that they are the first manufacturer to create a split roller bearing capable of increasing the lifespan and performance of high-axial systems. Breeze further added that it was the 3D printing technology that benefited them in delivering the product to market at a price point up to 20% lower than other leading split bearings.
