At bauma 2025, crane manufacturer Wolffkran has unveiled a major breakthrough in wireless crane operation with the world premiere of WOLFF Intuitive Control 鈥 a cutting-edge system that simplifies crane handling by shifting focus from crane mechanics to direct load movement.
Traditionally, wireless crane operation required skilled coordination of slewing, trolley, and hoisting motions, while mentally converting directional commands based on the crane鈥檚 perspective. WOLFF Intuitive Control eliminates this complexity by using a Cartesian movement system, allowing operators to guide loads in the intended direction effortlessly 鈥 push forward, and the load moves forward, regardless of the crane's orientation.
The system features a wearable ergonomic remote control, offering hands-free operation and greater mobility on-site. A WOLFF Cam display can be integrated into the unit, ensuring optimal visibility. Notably, the innovation is exclusive to wireless control, leaving cabin-based operation unchanged.
Developed entirely in-house by Wolffkran, WOLFF Intuitive Control is patent-pending and designed to outperform existing 鈥渋ntuitive鈥 systems, which often suffer from calibration issues and measurement instability. It is available as an option for new WOLFF cranes, a retrofit for existing models, or an upgrade to the WOLFF HiSPS system.
Visitors to bauma can test the new system in a virtual reality simulation, offering a realistic experience of intuitive load control from the ground.
With this launch, Wolffkran sets a new benchmark for precision, safety, and ease-of-use in tower crane operation.
