Haryana's Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana: housing aid

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has introduced the Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana (MMAY) to extend housing benefits to residents. During a virtual interaction under the 'Vishesh Charcha' program, CM Khattar announced the scheme's implementation, aiming to provide housing assistance to economically disadvantaged families across the state. The program is set to benefit around one lakh families who lack proper housing, with plots or flats being allocated based on a conducted survey. Additionally, CM Khattar highlighted that families yet to receive the third installment of Rs 50,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (urban) would be receiving it by August 31, aiding approximately 15,000 families. The initiatives mark a significant step towards fulfilling the aspirations of underprivileged households, with an allocation of Rs 8.98 billion for housing construction under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for both urban and rural areas. Notably, the allocated funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries' accounts, ensuring efficient execution.
