Lodha to invest Rs 39.5 billion on sustainability

Macrotech Developers will reportedly invest USD 500 million over the next 5-7 years in sustainability initiatives across all projects as it strives to become a net-zero carbon company by 2035. Macrotech Developers, which sells its properties under the Lodha brand, also announced the launch of the 'Lodha Net Zero Urban Accelerator' programme at its 4,500-acre flagship integrated township project Palava City near Navi Mumbai, with technical support from RMI. Abhishek Lodha, Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Macrotech Developers, told PTI that the Palava township will be a "live laboratory" for quickly experimenting with modern sustainability ideas and solutions available around the world.
