Emerson Climate Technologies has launched a new design calculation software tool to support cold-chain contractors.
The total market value of the Indian cold chain industry is expected to reach Rs 64,000 crore by end of 2017. From procurement, through transportation, intermediate storage, until the distribution stage to the final end-consumers, cold chain solutions form an important aspect of this cycle. Emerson Climate Technologies is one of the leading solution providers for the cold chain industry in India. It recently conducted a series of seminars in five cities - Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune and Mumbai - demonstrating its wide range of world-class cold chain solutions. The company exhibited their products like copeland scroll compressors, large commercial scrolls for process chilling, scroll condensing units, copeland hermetic reciprocating compressors, reciprocating condensing units, fractional horsepower compressor-copeland ECZ series and complete electronic and control solutions. They also showcased the state-of-the-art semi hermetic solution - STREAM compressors, equipped with 'Piston Technology' and built-in CoreSense diagnostics for intelligent compressor protection and predictive maintenance. STREAM offers outstanding efficiency, sound performance, and continuous modulation supported by discus valves, digital and sound shell technologies.
Total cold room solutions
The newly launched KOLDPRO offers total cold room solutions. It is a design calculation software that helps contractors, dealers and end-users to do preliminary design calculation work. It is built with a few specific features to help Indian customers and is applicable in few more countries in Asia. Features of KOLDPRO include the ability to consider prefabricated sandwich PUF panels, anteroom provision, weather data of many Indian cities, wide variety of food products under different categories, English-Hindi names of food products, user-specific pull-down time, unit run time, heat-load analysis category-wise and a report printing facility. The KOLDPRO software was first launched by Dr RK Sharma, Director, National Horticulture Board, Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India at the Delhi Cold Chain seminar held on March 11, 2013.
