IndiaAI, an Independent Business Division (IBD) under the Digital India Corporation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to promote the adoption and development of artificial intelligence (AI) in India. This strategic partnership is aligned with the goals of the India AI Mission.

Abhishek Singh, CEO of IndiaAI Mission, emphasised the power of collaborative innovation in advancing India鈥檚 AI ecosystem. He stated that the India AI Mission, implemented by the Government of India, is focused on addressing key challenges that will help India lead in AI applications. This partnership with Microsoft aligns with the mission鈥檚 core pillars: skilling, innovation, and responsible AI development. Singh mentioned that training 500,000 individuals, fostering innovation through AI Centers of Excellence, and delivering AI-driven solutions in critical sectors are key milestones in advancing the AI ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of inclusivity in the collaboration, empowering underserved communities, promoting ethical AI practices, and supporting start-ups to drive economic growth. He also stressed the shared commitment to positioning India as a global AI leader and creating a sustainable future for all.
