A key focus will be on guiding AI companies on how to handle data responsibly and avoid any misuse or harm. The development of the code comes at a time when there is a global surge in AI advancements, with countries around the world stressing the importance of responsible AI practices. This initiative follows a series of consultations, including one organized by UNESCO in collaboration with the IT Ministry, aimed at establishing safety and ethical standards in AI technologies. In addition, India鈥檚 ambitious 'IndiaAI Mission,' which has been backed with over Rs 10,000 crore in funding, is driving efforts toward creating indigenous AI frameworks.
