Vijaywada truck terminal still incomplete

A truck terminal project, proposed 10 years ago for Vijayawada is still incomplete despite spending Rs 10 crore on the project. The state government had alotted 76 acre for the project at Ibrahimpatnam. VGTMUDA (Vijayawada Guntur Tenali Mangalagiri Urban Development Authority) was entrusted with the onus of developing infrastructure required for the truck terminal. The aim of setting up the terminal was to check the entry of heavy vehicles including lorries and trucks into the city, which would help ease traffic snarls.
