Arunachal's Bongkhar Circle in Tawang District Receives Major Upgrade

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu launched several infrastructure projects worth billion in the strategic Bongkhar Circle of Tawang district, aimed at boosting development along the Indo-China border.

During his four-day visit to his home district, Khandu inaugurated key projects that focus on enhancing connectivity and public services in the remote border area. Among the notable developments were the construction of an inspection bungalow and a multipurpose hall to strengthen administrative functions and provide spaces for community activities.

Special emphasis was placed on sports infrastructure, with the opening of a mini stadium and general ground to offer modern recreational opportunities for local youth. In addition, Khandu inaugurated a crucial road linking the PMGSY road at Bongleng to Dumri village and its helipad, significantly improving access to the area.

Looking forward, Khandu also laid the foundation stone for a vital road project between Kharung village and Tongpasheng. This new route is expected to provide better connectivity for several remote villages in the Bongkhar Circle.

These initiatives are part of India鈥檚 broader strategy to enhance infrastructure and living conditions in border regions, especially in Arunachal Pradesh. The projects are seen as critical in improving both the quality of life and accessibility in this strategically important area.
