Around 450 guests at the ICM joined in the excitement as the innovations that impressed the expert jury were officially announced on the eve of bauma in Munich. The five winners of the bauma Innovation Award 2025 have now been selected.
Federal Minister Klara Geywitz and Bavarian Minister of State Hubert Aiwanger together with the honorary speakers congratulated the winners and presented the awards. The winners are:
- ROTHO ProCarbonCure, Robert Thomas GmbH 鈥� Climate Protection
- Liebherr Autonomous Operations, Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH 鈥� Digitalisation
- Tunnel Enlargement System, Herrenknecht AG 鈥� Mechanical Engineering
- New composite bridge construction method, Adam H枚rnig Baugesellschaft mbH & Co KG 鈥� Building
- MAXX - Mobile Assembly X-System, Center Construction Robotics (RWTH) 鈥� Research
The jury evaluates the entries according to criteria that are crucial for the future of the industry. Key factors include the practical relevance of a solution and its economic potential. In addition, the judges consider the progress of digitalisation, environmental aspects, sustainability, resource efficiency, and the humanisation of the workplace.
A total of 208 entries were received, with 52 finalists making it through to the next round. In two rounds of voting, the jury and the task force selected their 15 nominated favourites. Trade journalists attending the bauma Media Dialog in Munich in February also had the opportunity to vote in the final round.
The international bauma Innovation Award has its roots in the German Construction Equipment Day, which until 2004 honoured cutting-edge technologies from Germany. Since 2007, it has been awarded every three years in this form and is organized jointly by VDMA, VDMA Services GmbH, bauma and the German construction industry's central associations, HDB, ZDB and bbs. The VDMA is responsible for the organisation.
