CPWD floats tender for hostel construction at IIT Indore

The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) announced that a tender had been issued for the construction of a hostel at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

It was stated that the hostel would be built on plot GH-04 at Simrol, IIT Indore, with major components of the work including an RCC framed structure of ground-plus-six storeys, civil, electrical-mechanical, and horticultural work, as well as development work around the building. Additionally, preliminary tasks such as setting and maintaining permanent benchmark reference points and the central line of the carriageway were included in the scope of work.

The contract was reported to be valued at Rs 600.25 million, with a duration of 22 months from the start date specified for completing the work.

It was mentioned that the bid submission due date is set for 26 June 2024.
