Govt lays foundation stone for Vindhyachal corridor at Mirzapur

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Uttar Pradesh is building a small corridor in the famous Vindhyachal temple at Mirzapur. The home minister, Amit Shah, set the foundation for the Vindhyachal corridor in Mirzapur.
The estimated cost of the Vindhyachal Corridor Project (VCP) is Rs 150 crore. A ropeway has also begun for believers to reach the temple at an investment of Rs 16 crore.
Yogi Adityanath's government in Uttar Pradesh (UP) is operating and working on projects like this in religious places such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, Mathura, Chitrakoot, and Mirzapur.
Yogeshwar Ram Mishra, the commissioner of Mirzapur, told the media that the proposed corridor at Vindhyachal would make access easy to Devi temple from the road alongside river Ganga.
Following this project, the state government would also build dining halls, guesthouses, and medical centres on global standards. The road leading to the temple would be widened, and the removal of intrusions on its way would be done.
During the widening work of the road, the UP government would give compensation to those whose houses and land would be required for the road work on the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor in Varanasi.
