ITC broadens footprint in Rajasthan with Storii Jaisalmer

ITC Hotels announced that they had entered into a management agreement with the Dangayach Group, based in Jaipur, for a property under the brand Storii, situated in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
According to the company, the Storii by ITC Hotels, Jaisalmer, would be a 119-key resort situated to the east of the city on Jodhpur-Jaisalmer Road.
The resort was planned to include a restaurant, bar, and approximately 7000 sq ft of banquet and meeting space.
Jaisalmer, recognised as one of the largest tourism districts in Rajasthan, was highlighted as a "must-visit" destination in most Rajasthan desert circuits.
The city offers a unique blend of art, architecture, hospitality, scenic beauty, and cuisine.
Jaisalmer is famous for its unconventional desert safari experiences, including camel rides, cultural performances, and adventure activities. The company stated that the hotel's "plush" interiors and "elegant" d?cor would create an ambiance suitable for the cultural significance of the city, showcasing the essence of the Storii brand.
Anil Chadha, the chief executive of ITC Hotels, commented that the project represented a significant leap, facilitating a swift entry into a highly visible and popular leisure market with the Storii brand. He added, "We already have a presence with over 800 keys across our various brands in Rajasthan, including hotels in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Khimsar, Jaisalmer, and Udaipur. Storii Jaisalmer will enable us to offer yet another unique destination experience in the Rajasthan desert circuit."
Harimohan Dangayach, chairman and founder, and Atul Dangayach, the managing director of the Dangayach Group, expressed their happiness at the signing ceremony. They stated, "We are delighted to have signed Storii for our latest resort project in Jaisalmer. The resort?s positioning in a strong leisure market aligns well with the unique positioning of the Storii brand, supplemented by the operational strength of ITC Hotels. We embark on this new relationship with ITC Hotels with much hope for growth in the future."
