LTTS secures Rs 8 bn deal with Maharashtra State Cyber Department

L&T Technology Services announced today that it had secured a groundbreaking program in India valued at approximately Rs 8 billion from the Maharashtra State Cyber Department, under the Government of Maharashtra. They expressed their dedication to developing secure, digitally interconnected smart and safe cities through top-notch Cyber Security and Digital Forensic solutions consolidated under one umbrella. In this innovative initiative by the Government of Maharashtra, LTTS, in collaboration with M/s KPMG Assurance and Consulting Services LLP as a forensics partner, would provide advanced Cyber Security Solutions for the State to enhance public safety against cyber threats.

It was stated that the project involved the design of a sophisticated cybersecurity system and the establishment of a state-of-the-art, fully equipped Cybersecurity and Cybercrime prevention Centre to address Cybercrime Incidents and Investigations by leveraging AI and Digital Forensic tools. Additionally, the program included the setup of a Digital Threat Analytics Centre (DTAC) alongside a Centre of Excellence (COE) to equip the forensic team with cutting-edge digital forensic tools, such as Deepfake detection, Mobile Malware forensics, IoT investigation, Network forensics, object detection supporting crypto & blockchain, Hardware & Embedded forensics, drone forensics, social media forensics, image enhancement, voice analysis labs, IMEI/CDR analysis, CCTV acquisition tools, and computer forensics, aimed at streamlining crime scene management, reducing timelines, and enhancing the efficiency of cybercrime investigations.

Furthermore, a Central Emergency Response Team (CERT) would be established to handle incident response and investigation based on advanced cyber threat intelligence and analytics, including APT detection and data breach, adversary intelligence from the darknet, advanced malware analysis, proactive threat hunting, and red teaming.
