MoRTH makes significant progress under PM Gati Shakti NMP

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has made considerable progress under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan (NMP), strived at enhancing multi-modal connectivity and last-mile connectivity across the nation.
Gati Shakti is a digital platform, which will bring 16 Ministries, comprising railways and roadways together, for combined planning and coordinated execution of infrastructure connectivity projects for industrial clusters and economic nodes.
As part of the PM Gati Shakti NMP, the Ministry aims to build 22 Greenfield Expressways, 23 other essential infrastructure projects & other highway projects and 35 Multi-Modal Logistics Parks (MMLPs), as part of the Bharatmala Pariyojana and other schemes of the Ministry. Some of the significant Expressways and Corridors, which are under development stage are Ahmedabad -- Dholera Expressway, Delhi 鈥� Mumbai Expressway, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway, Ambala-Kotputli Expressway, Amritsar-Bhatinda-Jamnagar Expressway, Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway, Raipur-VZG Expressway, UER II, Hyderabad-VZG Expressway, Chennai-Salem Expressway and Chittor-Thatchur Expressway.
Some of the significant essential infrastructure projects, which are under development stage comprise the construction of Zojila Tunnel in Ladakh, roads to link Krishnapatnam Port in Andhra Pradesh, a significant bridge over Middle Strait Creek in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, two-lane of Lalpul-Manmao changing road in Arunachal Pradesh, six-lane bridge over Ganga bridge at Phaphamau in UP and four-lane bridge over the Brahmaputra between Dhubri-Phulbari in Meghalaya.
The Ministry, via its executing agencies NHAI, National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) and National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL), has kept speed with the work of executing the 35 MMLP projects recognised for growth under the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase I. The MMLP at Jogighopa, Assam, which is being created in association with the Assam Government as an equity stakeholder in the project SPV, is already under construction.
Besides, proposals for three MMLPs have been invited. They are MMLP Nagpur- it is being developed in association with JNPT at Sindi Village, MMLP Chennai- it is being developed at Mappedu in association with Chennai Port Trust and Tamil Nadu Government via its Industrial body SIPCOT, MMLP Bengaluru- it is being made in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, via its infrastructure body Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB).
