MSL Expands Manufacturing Facility to Enter Larger Markets

MSL (Mobility Solutions Limited), a part of JCBL Group, is proud to announce the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Batauli, Punjab, to tap into new market potential across multiple industries with advanced composites solutions. Spanning over 41,700 square meters, with a covered area of 12,000 square meters, this advanced facility now extends beyond Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) manufacturing to provide different advanced composites solutions for railways, automotive, defense, aerospace and infrastructure sectors. This major upgrade reflects MSL's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and economic growth. Commercial production at the upgraded plant commenced in December 2024, with plans to achieve full operational capacity by July 2025.

This facility marks a significant milestone in MSL’s journey, backed by more than two decades of expertise in FRP parts manufacturing. Originally launched in 2004 to cater to captive needs, MSL has evolved into a leading supplier of advanced composites solutions for metro projects, railways, and global clients, including Alstom and Wabtec.

Batauli was chosen for its strategic proximity to JCBL Group’s other manufacturing hubs, availability of skilled labor, and efficient access to transportation networks. The new facility currently employs over 150 personnel and plans to expand to include new product lines. It will contribute significantly to local economic growth and the national exchequer.

The Batauli facility aims to: · Advance MSL’s product offerings to cater to railways, automotive, defense, aerospace and infrastructure sectors. · Establish a Centre of Excellence, integrating R&D, tooling, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing under one roof. · Triple production capacity to meet growing domestic and international demands. · Support sustainability through lightweight, durable and low-maintenance composites solutions.

The plant incorporates several green initiatives, including renewable energy systems, advanced water conservation techniques, and a waste reduction program. A solar energy system is currently in progress, further reinforcing MSL’s commitment to sustainability. These initiatives align with MSL’s broader goal of reducing environmental impact and supporting global sustainability efforts

RG Arora, Managing Director of Mobility Solutions Limited said, "This expansion is a big shift for MSL, taking a significant leap forward in delivering cutting-edge composite solutions for high-tech products across industries. This facility not only enhances our manufacturing capabilities but also reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and contributing to the economic growth of the region."

With this facility, MSL reinforces its position as a leader in composites manufacturing, targeting emerging opportunities in public transport, defence, aerospace, infrastructure and agriculture segments. The company aims to drive innovation, enhance competitiveness, and deliver exceptional customer value.
