Okinawa to invest 25 mn euros in next 3 years

Okinawa Autotech, a maker of electric two-wheelers, announced on Wednesday that it will spend 25
million euros over the next three years on the creation of new models and powertrains.
The project, according to the corporation, will be developed at its first research and development
facility in Italy, which was recently opened and was established in collaboration with its joint venture
partner Tacita.
The first item created at the worldwide centre will be an electric cruiser motorcycle, which is
expected to be unveiled in India soon, according to a statement from Okinawa Autotech.
For the next three years, a total investment of 25 million euros has been budgeted for the
development of new goods and powertrains, it was stated.
"The establishment of the international R&D facility demonstrates our desire to provide our Indian
clients with the greatest technologies available worldwide. The centre will research cutting-edge

In the last five years, the company, along with its major stakeholders, has reportedly invested 5000
million in the creation of new products, production facilities, network expansion, and brand building.
Okinawa announced that its global R&D centre will continue to concentrate on the creation of new
goods, the improvement of the current product line, and the creation of an entirely new e-
powertrain to support the following generation of products.
It continued, "The centre will employ up to 50 specialists from India and throughout the world, and
shortly the company will launch its employee exchange programme with Tacita to nurture
employees' skills both at home and abroad.
