Saudi Arabia, India to Strengthen Crude Oil, LPG Ties and Defence Cooperation

Saudi Arabia and India have agreed to enhance cooperation in the supply of crude oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), according to a joint statement issued by the Saudi state news agency on Wednesday. The announcement follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, where he met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Saudi Arabia remains one of India's largest petroleum suppliers. During his visit, Modi and the Crown Prince also discussed strengthening bilateral ties in defence, with a focus on joint defence manufacturing. The two nations also reached agreements on agriculture and food security.

In addition, the statement highlighted the two countries鈥� mutual commitment to fighting terrorism and curbing terror financing.
