Devotees and daily commuters in Mumbai have reason to rejoice as the much-awaited Siddhivinayak Metro Station has officially opened, forming part of Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line). Strategically located near the iconic Siddhivinayak Temple, the station offers seamless, fast, and respectful access to one of Mumbai’s most revered spiritual sites.Â
Constructed under the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL), the station is part of the fully underground Phase 1 of the Aqua Line, which comprises 10 stations and connects vital points like SEEPZ, Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Andheri, and both terminals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA).Â
The MMRCL shared the first glimpse of the new station on social media, highlighting how the design balances devotion and infrastructure by navigating dense urban surroundings and heavy footfall with precision.Â
