AM/NS India launches Optigal Prime and Pinnacle colour-coated steel

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has launched two high-performance, colour-coated steel products—Optigal® Prime and Optigal® Pinnacle—to support India’s infrastructure and construction growth under the ‘Viksit Bharatâ€ vision. These 'Made in India' solutions are part of ArcelorMittal’s patented Optigal® range and are tailored for varied climatic and industrial conditions.

The products come with long-term warrantiesâ€15 years for Optigal® Prime and 25 years for Optigal® Pinnacle—offering corrosion-resistant options for roofing, cladding, and large-scale infrastructure projects like airports, ports, and highways. AM/NS India is currently the only domestic producer of C4-grade premium colour-coated steel, previously unavailable in India.

The Optigal® range includes six specialised variants such as Anti-Dust, Cool Roof, and Anti-Microbial, developed using advanced Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium coating technology. These variants are 100 per cent recyclable and free of heavy metals, aligning with green building norms and the Make in India initiative.

Manufactured at its Pune facility, AM/NS India aims to capture 25 per cent of the growing 3.4 million-tonne colour-coated steel market within three years. Its capacity stands at 7 lakh tonnes annually, with expansion plans underway.
