BMW Industries, Steel Ministry Sign MoU for Specialty Steel

BMW Industries (BMWIL), a leading manufacturer in the downstream steel sector, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Steel under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme 1.1 for Specialty Steel. The MoU was formalised on March 24th, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

As a qualified beneficiary of the PLI scheme, BMWIL will manufacture 鈥楥oated/Plated Steel Products of Metallic/Non-Metallic alloy鈥� & 鈥楢l-Zn Coated (Galvalume鈥� products at its upcoming Greenfield Downstream Steel Complex in Bokaro, Jharkhand.

HCL-Foxconn to invest Rs 37 billion in chip plant near Jewar airport

The Union Cabinet has approved the establishment of a new semiconductor unit near Jewar airport in Uttar Pradesh under the India Semiconductor Mission. This sixth plant, a joint venture between HCL and Foxconn, marks further progress in India鈥檚 semiconductor journey.
