Hyderabad to Host National Meet on High-Rise Structures

The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) [ACCE (I)], Hyderabad Centre, will host a two-day national conference on Next-Gen High-Rise Buildings 鈥� Advancements in Composite and Steel Structures on 11 and 12 July at the ESCI Campus, Centenary Convention Centre, Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The event is expected to attract 800 participants from across India, representing a wide spectrum of the construction and infrastructure sectors.

More than 14 prominent speakers will deliver sessions on critical topics including sustainable urban growth, resilient infrastructure, and the use of advanced materials and technologies in high-rise construction. The conference aims to shape the future of India鈥檚 skylines by promoting environmentally responsible design and cutting-edge construction methods.

As cities experience rapid vertical growth, challenges surrounding the stability, safety, and sustainability of high-rise buildings become more pronounced. This conference will explore solutions such as composite and steel structural systems, digital construction tools, and climate-conscious design. The agenda includes discussions on how buildings can withstand natural disasters, integrating smart infrastructure, and reducing environmental impact.

Rajkumar Kacharla, President South and Vice President of ACCE (I), stated: 鈥淲e are not just constructing buildings鈥攚e are crafting a sustainable legacy. This conference reflects the civil engineering community鈥檚 commitment to redefining urban development through innovation and resilience.鈥�

Echoing this sentiment, Er. Kashiram Adepu, Governing Council Member and Immediate Past Chairman of the ACCE(I) Hyderabad Centre, said: 鈥淲ith urbanisation accelerating across metro and tier I and II cities, vertical growth is unavoidable. This platform will help engineers and policymakers adopt stronger, safer, and more sustainable high-rise practices.鈥�

Er. Bheem Rao Jaligama, Vice-Chairman and In-charge Chairman of the Hyderabad Centre, added: 鈥淭his event is a bold step toward smarter cities. It encourages engineers to embrace innovation and resilience to prepare for tomorrow鈥檚 urban challenges.鈥�

Delegate registrations are now open, with early-bird discounts available until 25 June 2025. Special rates apply for ACCE(I) members, INSTRUCT members, supporting organisations, and students鈥攍imited to the first 100 student registrations. All fees include 18 per cent GST.
