JTL finishes Phase-I expansion, begins Phase-II for Nabha Steels

JTL Industries (JIL) announced that a strategic milestone has been achieved in the completion of capex plans for its subsidiary Nabha Steels and Metals. It was stated that Phase-I of the expansion has been successfully completed, which would enable the company to deliver a production of 5,000 tonnes per month of HR coils, the raw material for the production of ERW Steel Pipes.

It was further explained that the current expansion represents a significant advancement of capabilities, including product portfolio enhancement in coils and billets. Additionally, there was mention of the strengthening of backward integration capabilities to improve operational efficiency and quality. It was emphasised that this diversification would better position the company to meet the evolving needs of customers with a broader range of solutions.

According to sources within the company, it was indicated that the second expansion phase is expected to commence shortly. This phase aims to scale up the production output and introduce more products to the portfolio offerings. It was highlighted that this expansion would enhance JTL's total backward integration capacity and support the captive requirements of its plant at Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab.

JTL Industries has manufacturing facilities located in Punjab, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh, with a cumulative capacity of 7,50,000 MTPA. The company's steel tube manufacturing segment has been recognized as a star export house. Its product offering includes GI Pipes, MS Black Pipes, hollow sections, and solar structures for various industrial and infrastructural applications.
