Three-tier road link to Mohali airport

The three-tier road connectivity to Chandigarh from the upcoming international airport in Mohali has been demanded by UT administration and the matter has been taken up with the high powered inter-state coordination committee constituted by the Indian government. Chandigarh has demanded that apart from an underpass across the runway, there should be road connectivity with the airport to Purv Marg near Sector 48 and from Zirakpur. These should also be implemented to enable easy accessibility from all directions, since the airport will also serve the larger northern region including Himachal Pradesh.
