Mangaluru international airport implements ‘silent zone policy
The Mangaluru International Airport has implemented a new policy regarding passenger announcements, shifting away from using the public address (PA) system for such notifications. This change aims to cultivate a quieter environment for travellers, allowing them to use time at the airport for various activities such as reading, conversing with loved ones, or attending to work commitments. Instead of PA announcements, passengers will now rely on the Flight Information Display System for updates regarding flights, including gate changes and delays. PA announcements will now be reserved for emergencies only.

50 per cent global passenger market share for Indian airlines by FY28
As much as half of the country’s international air passenger traffic is expected to be catered by Indian airlines by financial year 2027-28, credit ratings agency CRISIL said. Noida airport set to become a major transport hub
The upcoming Noida International Airport is set to become a major transport hub, seamlessly integrating multiple modes of transport to enhance connectivity. This airport will be connected by an expressway, rapid rail and pod taxi services, ensuring efficient travel options for passengers and boosting regional development. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will link the airport, significantly reducing travel time to major cities and not only facilitate quick access to the airport but also improve logistical operations, making it a strategic asset for both passenger and cargo transport. In addition to the expressway, Noida airport will be accessible via a rapid rail (RRTS) network.
