Karnataka plans to build airports in all major cities across state

On Wednesday, Karnataka Large and Medium Industries minister Murugesh Nirani told the media that all major cities in the state will have airports and the land acquisition process will begin soon.
In addition, Nirani informed that the government will construct permanent helipads in all district headquarters.
Nirani said that airports will be built in all of Karnataka's major cities. Expanding domestic air connectivity is critical for the region's industrial development, tourism, and other industries.
Increased regional connectivity and air passenger traffic will aid in the stimulation of economic activity.
The minister was speaking at the Export Excellence Awards ceremony of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI).
The government will build permanent helipads in all district headquarters, according to Nirani, to improve the rapid transportation and movement of people. All district headquarters will have permanent helipads built by the government. Hassan district will get a dry port, and Karwar port will be developed further.
The Minister said Karnataka has abundant opportunities, skill, and capacity to excel in the global export market, noting that the state's exports are increasing dramatically across sectors.
They are the leading player in software exports, accounting for 40% of India's total exports, as well as manufacturing and trade exports. They've made a name for themselves in fields as diverse as aerospace, automobiles, ready to wear garments, cotton yarn, silk, pharma, food products, minerals, marine products, and handicrafts.
Nirani told the media that Karnataka is aiming for a larger share of India's exports when it comes to boosting exports.
