State government has given AAI 21 acre of land for airport development

The Patna district administration has given the Airports Authority of India (AAI) 21 acre of land to create the parallel taxi track (PTT), which will boost aircraft frequency at Jayprakash Narayan International Airport. The new municipal airport will require 26 acre of land for development.

Around 21 acre of the 64 acre of property leased by the state government to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) have been handed to the AAI, allowing them to begin building on the PTT. The remaining land, including 2.6 acres belonging to the transportation department and 2.4 acre belonging to the animal husbandry department, is being transferred and will be completed soon. Both departments have completed the work.
