Three more airports in Jharkhand after Deoghar

After the first direct flight between the national capital and Deoghar took off, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said the government was working on three more airports in Jharkhand.

The flight was piloted by BJP lawmaker and former civil aviation minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy, who will fly daily between Delhi and Deoghar.

IndiGo will use its 180-seater twin turbofan engine passenger aircraft, the A320 neo, for the trip. According to an official release, the new service will provide 11 daily departure flights from Deoghar.

The Deoghar airport was constructed at a cost of Rs 4 billion, making it the second airport in Jharkhand after Ranchi
